The #BrainstormBlogTour Begins! Check out my interview on the Picture Book Builders blog!

I was absolutely THRILLED to kick off the #BrainstormBlogTour with an interview on one of my very favorite children’s book blogs: Picture Book Builders! The incredible author Jill Esbaum (who also happens to be one of my idols!) conducted the interview and we had such a fun time chatting about the story behind the story of BRAINSTORM! as well as tips and tricks I use when I’m writing in rhyme. Check out the interview here:

I was selected to attend the PJ Library Picture Book Summer Camp!

I am thrilled, humbled and honored to have been selected by PJ Library as one of only 20 picture book authors to attend their Picture Book Summer Camp at the beautiful Highlights Foundation this summer. I can’t wait to meet and collaborate with so many fabulous creators and mentors to help bring new stories in the world!

My upcoming picture book, WHATEVER COMES TOMORROW, was announced in Publisher’s Weekly!

I am thrilled to share that the sale of my upcoming book, WHATEVER COMES TOMORROW, was announced in Publisher’s Weekly this week!

Inspired by my own lifelong struggle with anxiety, this rhyming poem-picture book aims to comfort and reassure kids that, while the future may bring both beauty and sorrow (in big ways and small), they already possess everything they need to withstand whatever comes their way.

The book will be illustrated by Mariona Cabassa (I’ve had a tiny sneak peek and her illustrations are absolutely GORGEOUS!) and published by Barefoot Books in Spring 2023.

BRAINSTORM! received a very nice review from Kirkus! YAY!

I’m thrilled to share that BRAINSTORM! has received its first professional journal review from Kirkus Reviews — and it’s a good one!

(For those not in the publishing world, getting Kirkus to even look at your book is a big deal, but getting a positive review is HUGE!)
